Tournaments

We are thrilled to announce the long-awaited feature: TOURNAMENTS! You can now participate in tournaments by navigating to the Tournaments section in the navigation menu.

How Do Tournaments Work?

• Registration: Once you register for a tournament, a timer will count down to the start time. When the tournament begins, you’ll be navigated to the Tournament Bracket.
• Match Notifications: When your match is ready, you’ll receive a message. You’ll then:
  • Select your board
  • Mark yourself ready to play
  • If you’re not ready in time and your opponent is, you will forfeit the match.
  • If neither player is ready, the match is ignored.
• Match Screen:
  • Each player has a white timer (Chess Clock) which counts down during their turn. If your clock runs out, you lose the match.
  • Active players also see an orange timer (Turn Timer), indicating how long they have to complete their turn.
• Post-Match: After your match concludes, you’ll return to the tournament bracket to check the progress of the tournament.

Tournament History

On the Tournament Overview page, there’s a button in the top-right corner to access your Tournament History. Filter tournaments by those you’ve participated in or browse all past tournaments.
